I chose this picture for my contents page because it is similar to the example i found. She is looking at the camera and is smiling which i like becasue she looks welcoming and her position doesn't look to structured as she looks quite comfortable, making it an overall comfortable and inviting picture.

I love this picture for my front page as she is looking straight to the audience and the way she is almost like blowing a kiss to the readers is cute and quirky which is what i was aiming for. she is again relaxed making it feel comfortable to look at with her relaxed emotions.

This picture is completely different to the other two images i have used. She isn't smiling andis in a structured pose that doesn't look so comfortable like the others. I chose this becasue it stood out from the rest and shows that she has another side to her cute and quirky side with a fun and weird side too. It also worked well with the layout i chose for my double page spread.
This picture just shows the personality and friendship between the two of these models, which fits perfectly with them being the new tv presenters. I like how they aren't dressed up and they are in casual wear and are just doing as they please with positions. It is fun and draws the readers into their funniness.

Looking back at what i came up with for my college magazine to what I have come out with my music  magazine, I have gained many new skills on how to add the finer details that make the differences. My college magazine wasn't bad but with the new skills i have learnt it would be much better and would look more like a professional magazine instead of an attempt.
The technologies that have been used throughout this project have all been new to me. I'd heard of photoshop before but never really had the chance to use it until now. At first it totally confused me but then i got the hang of it after using it for a while and experimenting. Flickr i found easy and helpful to annotate my pictures to point out parts i'd like to highlight. Blogger confused me right up untill the end for some reason it just never made much sense to me on how to use it properly. Other technologies like the internet were easy and simple to find out information and to find magazine examples to help me with my own.
My magazine speaks the language of my audience as it isn't formal and it's not slang it's got a quirk to it which would appeal to the girlie girls. The writing that is in it is the 'gossip' type and evry girl loves a bit of celebrity gossip. The style of my magazine is quirky as well with the swirl patterns and simple colour theme. The writing font is bold and swirly which connects to the audience i'm aiming for and also the context of my writing links to them.
This girl looks like she would be someone who would buy my magazine becasue she looks like she likes to have fun and she looks girlie. You can tell she likes her music because of the headphones and she possibly looks like someone who would be a dancer becasue of her frame. I think she would like the contents of my magazine as it would give her the inside gossip of upcoming artists and also upcoming events that she may be interested in.
The particular social group my magazine is aimed at is the girlie performer type. It's aimed to those who love all aspects of music but also love dancing and acting but like them all put together. My model has similarities to Amanda Seyfreid who is the model of the fornt page i was looking at for ides. Amanda loves her music dancing and acting and has put them all together which was shown in 'Mamma Mia'. I think people who are in the social group i have specified would be drawn to the magazine because of the model on front being girlie but interesting too.
The way i set up my model for her pictures was to go for a natural look so she wore the clothes she was weearing on the day and the lighting was whatever was in the room. I didn't specify any positions for her to do i just said do whatever you feel comfortable with and whatever you feel like doing so again getting a natural pose. Her posture was lovely as she was upright or not slouchy, mainly because she is a dancer herself. I love the pictures that have come out from her as she gave me lots to work with  and hard decisions to choose the right photo for my pages. Her expressions were all happy and fun or relaxed.

The genre of my music magazine is mainly girlie and bubbly. The double page spread i chose to use as a template I thought really stood out as the model took up a whole side herself and the writing behind her jumps out to the reader. There aren't many colours on the page so the red that the model is sitting on and her hair highlights the page. The writing is bold behind the model and then the slightly smaller writing is bold and flicky, this stands out to me as the reader because it caught my eye, because of this I put some of my writing behind my model and made it bold so that it stands out from the rest of the page alongside my model. For the contents page that i have chosen i love the position of the model and how the word contents looks like it's balancing on her feet and the writing is alongside her legs. It's a very simple layout but i feel it is effective becasue of the models position and the colours are all neutral. I have used the way the model is postitioned in my magazine because i really liked it and have also minimalised my colours so that each section stands out and is clear.
